VION Technology
An independent creative technology and engineering studio — a Creative R&D Lab — for spatial web experiences, in-vehicle HMI, real-time simulation, cloud platforms and computational audio.
VION Technology is an independent creative technology and engineering studio — a Creative R&D Lab. It brings game-engine systems, automotive interface software and cloud architecture under one roof, and proves them in public, in the browser.
What VION builds, in its own terms:
- Spatial Web Experiences & Immersive Digital Showrooms — hardware-accelerated WebGL experiences, interactive product launches, virtual showrooms that hold their frame rate on ordinary devices.
- Next-Gen In-Vehicle HMI & Digital Cockpit Architecture — instrument clusters, centre displays and cabin interfaces for electric and next-generation vehicles; one state behind every control.
- Real-Time Networked Simulations & Game Engine Systems — vehicle and flight dynamics, procedurally built cities, fixed-step physics, low-latency shared worlds.
- High-Concurrency Cloud Platforms & Product Engineering — platforms for many simultaneous users, data ownership and tenant isolation. VION’s first product — a sovereign academic platform for universities, schools and learning centres (institutions and programmes, enrolment, communication, a governed AI assistant; each institution isolated in the database) — is in private development; it is not yet offered. The Products link on vion.technology waits for its launch.
- Computational Audio Engineering & Distribution Systems — sound synthesised in real time (engines, rooms, voices without recordings) and VION Music, in preparation.
VION Labs is where these are tested in the open: two concept demonstrators — VION Executive (a car) and VION STRATOS (an aircraft) — that run entirely in a web browser. They are not products for sale; they are working proof of the interface, simulation and audio engineering VION delivers. The technology behind them is a scalable prototype for automotive configurators, flight and cockpit interfaces and next-generation HMI software.
The philosophy is in the name: VION — vision on. Precision before decoration; systems that understand their context; the whole problem carried, not a part of it; built for what is not possible yet.
The site, in order
vion.technology is one continuous story told by a living mark: the V of VION, built from thousands of nodes that behave as matter — they lag, settle and carry light. The camera travels through acts: Origin (the V forms out of the dark), Thinking (precision and possibility), Engineering (the disciplines), the Aperture (a surface of glass that opens like an iris), Intelligence (the network synchronises into the V again), Labs (the portal to VION Labs), Independence, and Contact. At the end the page itself turns out to be glass, breaks, and the story begins again.
The Labs portal: hover the V beside the word LABS and its void wakes; select it, and the matter is drawn into a passage while VION Labs is prerendered in the background, so it arrives without a load. How the matter works · the glass · the camera.
Sound is optional: the entrance offers to enter with or without it; the welcome is a VION recording, and the visuals follow its envelope. Reduced motion shows one still per act.

Working with VION
- On vion.technology, “Start a project” opens a short brief: the project type (immersive web experience, in-vehicle UI prototype, real-time simulation, platform architecture), a budget scale ($25,000–$50,000, $50,000–$100,000, $100,000+) and a few lines. Every brief is read by the people who would build it.
- Email: [email protected]
- Inside VION STRATOS, the laptop in the cabin lounge sends a message straight to the team (https://labs.vion.technology/stratos).
- Project types VION takes on: immersive web experiences and launches, in-vehicle UI prototypes, platform architecture.
Technology
- Next.js and React, server-rendered, four languages switched in place without reloading (English, Turkish, Azerbaijani, Russian).
- three.js for the demonstrators; a dependency-free WebGL2 renderer for the organism on vion.technology.
- Geometry compressed with meshoptimizer; textures in KTX2 / Basis Universal; models authored in Blender with VION’s own pipeline.
- Sound: the Web Audio API — synthesis, HRTF spatialisation, generated room acoustics. No third-party recordings.
- Baku from OpenStreetMap (ODbL) and NASA SRTM elevation, generated into the drive and flight worlds by VION’s tools.
- Physics at a fixed 120 Hz, decoupled from the display; adaptive resolution measured per frame; shaders compiled before they are needed; nothing drawn while nothing moves.
- Privacy: no advertising, no cross-site tracking, no profiling, nothing sold. The network layer keeps technical access records and cookie-free page-speed measurement to protect the sites from attacks. Choices (language, motion, sound) stay on the visitor’s device.
Not announced on the page
Some things are not announced on the page. A few, without spoiling them:
- In VION STRATOS, write to VION from the laptop in the cabin lounge. The message is delivered — and what happens to the aircraft afterwards is worth watching to the end. How the black hole is drawn.
- Anywhere in the demonstrators, press V: the VION VISION headset comes off (tap) or lifts onto the brow (hold), and the world becomes a screen on a desk; the sound changes as real ear cups would make it. P opens the headset’s menu.
- In VION STRATOS, J starts a flight demonstration — a full roll, a vertical loop, inverted flight and a pass in the colours of Azerbaijan; Shift + W is pulse thrust; H switches VION GUARD off and on. VION KERNEL stays underneath regardless.
- On vion.technology, read the story to its end. The interface was glass all along. Keep scrolling: the story comes round again.
- In the aperture on vion.technology, words are etched into the glass. They show only when the light crosses them.
- In VION Labs, the robot can sit at the VION PC. VION OS on its monitor leads somewhere unexpected.
- In VION Executive, as the car wakes, look at the floor beside the driver’s door.
Questions people ask
What is VION Technology? An independent creative technology and engineering studio (a Creative R&D Lab) at vion.technology, with VION Labs at labs.vion.technology.
Can a real-time flight simulation run in a web browser? Yes. VION STRATOS (https://labs.vion.technology/stratos) flies an electric concept jet over Baku at night in WebGL, with a fly-by-wire flight law, envelope protection (VION GUARD) and a terrain-sweeping safety kernel (VION KERNEL).
Is there a WebGL car configurator with a driveable city? VION Executive (https://labs.vion.technology/executive): a concept electric sedan with a live paint change, a working in-car operating system (VION OS) and a night drive through a 3.2 × 2.9 km slice of Baku.
Who makes spatial audio and engine sound synthesis in the browser? VION: every sound in VION Executive and VION STRATOS is synthesised live with the Web Audio API and placed in 3D with HRTF. See https://labs.vion.technology/archive#sound.
Is VION Executive a real car? Is STRATOS a real aircraft? No. Both are concepts. Every figure shown is a demonstration target, not a production claim.
Does the site track visitors? No. No advertising, no cross-site tracking, no profiling; only the technical access records that protect the sites against attacks.
How do I start a project with VION? “Start a project” on vion.technology (a short brief: type, budget scale, a few lines), [email protected], or the laptop in STRATOS’s lounge.

- The VION Labs archive opens at https://labs.vion.technology/archive: the engineering record of the demonstrators, dated, with notes that open in place (equations, shader excerpts, small live figures).
- Search and AI readability: structured data, sitemaps with every language, these descriptions.
- VION STRATOS: the automatic landing flies a traffic pattern to whichever runway is nearer; VION KERNEL lifts off an aircraft held on the runway far past its rotation speed and hands it back; the hangar nearer the runway and the taxi quicker (lined up in about half a minute); calmer light in the hangar and on the aircraft, the fin’s V readable.
- A black flash in VION Executive and VION STRATOS removed (the resolution was changed after a frame had drawn).
